Eva David was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, to a father who was a painter and who taught her the rudiments of the medium of painting from childhood.
Assisting her father, in the heart of his artist's studio, she will carry very high the several artistic qualities that she will have acquired in this place, from her youngest age.
She will be constantly at her father's side, since his birth until the last years of her father's life in 1982...
From Bulgaria, where the difficulties of freely affirming her art are considerable, the family dares to dream of France.In 1949, Israel welcomed the family who stayed a few months in nomadic conditions, before taking the road to Paris.
It was in the "Ville Lumière" that the young artist studied at the Beaux Arts and developed her artistic skills. Participating in many exhibitions in the years that followed, she was the subject of several personal and group exhibitions in London, Paris, New York, Tel Aviv, Alexandria and Oslo.
In 1978, she received the Grand Prize for drawing at the Alexandria Biennial.
In 1989, a retrospective exhibition of her work was organized by the gallery owner Alin Avila at the Maison des Arts de Créteil.
